Le président du Horoya qui est également membre de la commission marketing et télévision de la CAF est au chevet du syli national depuis le début de la CAN. Il contribue à l’amélioration des conditions de séjour de l’équipe comme cette fois où il a loué un bus confortable pour remplacer celui scolaire affecté à la Guinée pour le transport de l’équipe.
Après le verdict du tirage au sort, il faisait donc partie des premiers heureux de la qualification de la Guinée en quart de finale. « Ça représente un très grand soulagement pour le peuple de Guinée parce qu’on voulait arriver là. On a joué tous nos matchs à l’extérieur donc cela a renforcé le mental des joueurs. Aujourd’hui ça va beaucoup plus renforcer notre mental en se retrouvant en quart de finale. Je prie Dieu qu’on se retrouve en demi-finale » a-t-il imploré.
