I am completely jeuloas of everyone at school?Every person at my school has everything they could ever want. Being one of the youngest in the softmore grade, I won’t get my driving permit until Junior year, but that does not bother me, what bothers me is that most of them have sport cars as their first car, and they brag about it like no other. As much as I am athletic and artistic, I do not have a girlfriend because of my broken, huge, crooked nose (horrible accident when I was 7), while all the tall, blonde, blued eyed guys have girls all around them. I have been struggling with my grades yet I study about 6 hours a day after school, varsity soccer practice. My dad is extremely strict and I am now grounded because my report card came yesterday and I had a 3.5 GPA (which is a little bad for me, but in the past few weeks i have not gotten under 95% on any assignment, test, etc.). Many others did much worse and are heavily rewarded for their efforts. I turn on my playstation and I see about 30 people online playing Black Ops, which I had reserved, but the day it was released, my dad went ape and screamed his ass off at me, so i decided against telling him about it. I know all this is in the interest of my sucess in the future, but I am only 14 and I would like a little bit more freedom. He talks about college and it scares the crap out of me. He does not give me any attention because he spends most of his time with my sister. And compared to the way he treats my 5 year old brother, he treats me like a king. i do not know why, but it seems like he does not love my brother at all (probably because he was an accident) but he was the best thing that ever happened to me. I mean, it is not like he neglects him or anything, but he never looks at him, never talks to him, never plays with him like he does with my sister. My little brother is the only thing that brings hapiness into my life.I would love to live in the NOW, I want to enjoy being a teenager, playing video games, and seeing movies. I only have one TRUE friend who is in a slightly similar situation, minus the strict parents portion. Everyone else is a phony. My other friend is fat, buys every single video game that comes out, does not study at all, gets a 4.0 GPA without lifting a book, and yet he complains about EVERYTHING!!!! it depresses me how spoiled some people can be. And now i feel like crap because I have already talked to some of my teachers, school admins., my mother, and none of them had any advice worth taking. The only thing that helped was looking at all the things I DO have (most of which i paid for my self). I rcently purchased a beautiful Gibson guitar $2000,I paid for it through my summer job. Guess what? It broke. Why? because my roof caved-in in my room ONLY, not the whole house because my father refused to fix a leak. He also refuses to pay for the repair. My father is impossible to talk to, he refuses to listen to what i have to say, and immediately sends me to my room and yells why aren’t you studying? even when I say, Dad, we need to talk. he gives me the same reaction. All I want is to be able to relax and not worry about colleges and maybe leave my room once in a while, (i seriously haven’t left my house in 4 days) and allowed to buy music, games, movies, or whatever every once in a while, but most of all, i want something to look forward to, i feel locked inside the barrier that is my house, and I just feel disconnected from everything else that is going on in the world. I want the freedom that my classmates have. I need suggestions on where to go, what to do, how to overcome my jeuloasy of others, and how to reach my goals. thank you in advance. My mother is around but she uses all her time to try to help my brother out with school, because he is behind, when she is not working.
