International espoir suédois, ce jeune défenseur de 20 ans a été propulsé au devant de la scène cette semaine en champions league. Totalement méconnu du grand public guinéen, Pa Konaté est un joueur évoluant au Malmö FF.
Né en Suède d’un père guinéen, le jeune Konaté évolue actuellement avec les sélections de jeunes de la Suède. Cette semaine, il a disputé son premier match de coupe d’Europe contre la Juventus Turin en champions league. Un match au cours duquel il a notamment été au centre d’une polémique. Stéphane Lichtsteiner, défenseur suisse de la Juve, lui a pincé les parties intimes. Un geste qui a choqué le jeune guinéen, « Les images parlent d’elles-mêmes, non ? J’étais au sol et il m’a pincé très fort. C’était complètement fou et cela faisait vraiment très mal. Je lui ai encore demandé des explications mais il a nié toute la rencontre. Ce n’est pas à moi de réagir mais peut-être aurais-je dû… ».
Son club s’est incliné (2-0). A 20 ans, il a déjà l’occasion de disputer la plus prestigieuse des compétitions européennes, une expérience vitale à sa jeune carrière car il disputera minimum six matchs en phase de groupes.
Konaté apparaît donc comme un espoir pour le syli national qui est très démuni en défense. Michel Dussuyer a une nouvelle carte en main si bien sûr la Guinée ne le perd pas.
Né le 24 avril 1994 à Malmö en Suède, le jeune Pa Mamadou Konaté débute sa carrière au sein du club de sa ville natale. Il y signe son premier contrat professionnel le 23 novembre 2012 et apparaît pour la première fois sous les couleurs du Malmö FF le 17 avril 2013 contre l’AIK en championnat.
